Jerome brought me pasalubong tonight!

Natural-born OC

I was cleaning my room when I found my old set of 64 crayons-- still intact, still complete. I had that set when I was in my early elementary years. My husband was amazed that not a single crayon is broken.

And get this: the crayons are arranged according to its "family of colors" (ie all shades of red are in one box, all shades of blue, etc)

I guess I was born an OC. LOL!

P.S. Jerome does not want me to throw or give this away. He wants to save it for our child-- to test if the child will be as OC as me. Haha.

all 64 crayons- complete!

Preppy Lawyer?

Sometime last week, I bumped into Atty. Jarred Cabilte. And I just had to take a pic of his preppy look, not only because he looked good in it but for me, it is refreshing to see lawyers not donning the usual-almost-boring barong tagalog. Lucky us lady lawyers, we have a variety of choices for our corporate look. While male lawyers are constrained to barong tagalogs or suits. Choose the wrong color for the barong and one runs the risk of being mistaken either as PSG, security guard or hotel attendant.

Kudos to Atty Jarred (and to his loving wife who most probably picked out this preppy ensemble!)

Getting Married?

Yesterday, I was browsing through my clearbook of wedding stuffs. "Stuffs" would mean the contracts with different wedding vendors, the receipts and the most dreading computation of the wedding budget.

Out of curiosity, I summed up all our expenses to see whether we were just within our estimated budget or not. True enough, we were 'just within' the budget.

So how did we do it? For me, the most crucial part of the wedding preparation is the budgeting. Patience is the minimum requirement for one to surpass this challenge.

Here are some tips that I would like to share to would-be couples who are planning on getting married:

  1. Research. Internet is one of the most convenient way of knowing who's who in the wedding industry. A lot of wedding suppliers have a website or facebook fanpage where they showcase their works. Know the contact details of the supplier and dedicate some time to read the reviews or comments.
  2. Ask around. Once you have a few wedding suppliers in mind, then it is time for you to ask around. Ask your friends, friend's friends, officemates, etc. If you are lucky to have a wedding coordinator-friend, might as well give her a call.
  3. Attend Bridal Fairs. At least once a year, a bridal fair is organized where one can get discounts and freebies once booked. We were lucky to attend to bridal fairs, where we met our photographer and videographer. We also got our photobooth from the bridal fair. Even if you are months and months away from your target date, it is best to pay these fairs a visit so that you can talk to as many suppliers as you want, get their brochures for future references and if you like what they have offered, book right away to avail of the discounts and freebies.
  4. Compare. Don't just settle for one particular wedding vendor. Canvass, canvass and canvass for some more. Don't be scared or ashamed to keep on inquiring for their "best" price (Best means, the best negotiated price). See what one supplier can offer that the other cannot for relatively the same price and see what works best for you.

First Time

I have heard about blogs long time ago. And I have a few friends who regularly maintain their blogs. I wanted to try then but I would always have reasons not to, either I was too busy, too lazy or I just simply did not know what to write.

Today, I have decided to give this blogging thing a try. Though still a newbie, I want to learn how to make my blog more interesting. Thus, this blog shall serve as my cyber dropbox of the things that I find amusing, new discoveries and just about anything that comes to my mind.

So to me and to new bloggers out there, Happy Blogging!
