Maternity Shoot

After two months of cyber absence, I'm back! No, I am not pregnant again. But I will surely miss being one.

I've been meaning to share these maternity pictures but I was too preoccupied with my new role in life-- motherhood.

Looking back, my pregnancy made me realize a few things. Save for my 'morning' sickness which happens at night, the 9-month journey was rather blissful.

Here are the top 5 things I liked about being pregnant:

  1. I sort of have THE excuse to binge and make every day an eat-all-you-can day. Haha. My OB frowned on this. She said I couldn't afford a six- or more-pounder baby.
  2. Speaking of excuse, I had a valid excuse/reason to postpone my court hearings. Yay!
  3. People, even strangers, are EXTRA NICE to me. Really. I will surely treasure the random kindness I've experienced from people I barely knew.
  4. I'm always in the PRIORITY LANE-- CR, taxi lane, elevator, cinema ticket booth, and even in CD-R King! Haha. Yes, ka-level mi sa senior citizens and people with disability.
  5. My husband became sweeter and more considerate. Of course, I had to take advantage of that! Haha. So I bossed him around, letting him pick things up for me and demanding a good back massage.
The BEST thing about my pregnancy is giving birth to our little bundle of joy, our sweet angel and the one who will probably have the powers to tame my kamalditahan (joke! haha)-- JOAQUIM FELBERT.

Maternity Shoot BTS

These photos were taken by either my husband or our designer/make-up artist
friend, Roger when we had our maternity shoot last weekend.
Post-editing was done by yours truly using Photoshop CS3 and Photobucket.

Can't wait for the official takes of Joel and Psyche.

It's a Boy!

Yes, we're having a baby boy (according to the ultrasound)!
Secretly, I have been wishing to have a boy as my eldest child.
I am the eldest child. There were times when I wondered how
it feels like to have a kuya (big brother).

Words can't contain the happiness we felt upon learning that the
baby's condition is normal, that so far, there are no apparent
complications in my pregnancy. Recently, I've felt more distinct
movements from the baby most especially during afternoon going
towards the evening. I guess he is not a morning person, like
his father. Haha. Joke. (peace clove!)

I miss blogging...

Yes, I do. I haven't posted a single blog post for months!
I've been through a lot-- both the good and the bad.
Mostly good though.
The best among all the good is this.

My first 'successful' pregnancy. Successful, yes because
last year, I had a miscarriage. Hopefully, this time around
we'll be blessed to have a normal (& safe) pregnancy.

So far, so good. Thank God!
This pic was taken last May.
I am now on my 19th week.

The adjustment period was something I was not prepared for.
My first trimester was a roller-coaster ride.
My morning sickness happened at night. Talk about misnomer.

The second trimester is a whole lot better.
No more throwing up. No more panuhot. Haha.

We're looking forward to next month.
We'll know the gender by then.

I will take this opportunity to thank my husband
for the night massages, for buying me my happy food,
and for being the supportive husband that he is.

Happy Day!

Day 8:

It's Mother Mary's birthday of course.
Aside from that, I had a share of fairly good stuffs that made me smile a lot today.

First,
this came in the mail today! Yippeeee!!!

Second,
We attended the beautiful wedding of Lau and Anne.
Had the best and fun times with fellow Toastmasters.
Please pardon the scandalous pose. Lol.

Third,
I won in the Evaluation Speech Contest for our Area. Yeey!

And lastly,
who needs a medal when I have these two gorgeous girls?

Thanks ryn and diane for your support. I am truly a winner for having great friends like you.
(P.S. I know someone was also an eager beaver to witness my performance but I know that
that someone will torture me forever and ever. Hehe. Hi cil! Haha)

Image Detail

I love challenges. Not with other people, but mostly with myself.
Challenges make life more exciting. Don't you agree?

The challenge? To BLOG for 30-days.

Can I do this? With my busy (& crazy) schedule,
the answer is a faint YES.

Let's wait and see.

Oh, the challenge shall start on September 1.
(To make it easier to count the days. Lol.)

30 days hath September
April June and November
All the rest have 31
Except for February alone
Which has 28 days clear
And 29 in each leap year.

Remember that nursery rhyme?

I Gotta Feeling!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. After I saw this,
I vowed to myself not to expose myself to another
round of embarrassment. See what love can do? Lol.
ENJOY!!!

Who let the bangs out?

For 28 years, my hair has been straight and save for my kindergarten years where my mother experimented on my hair with the "bunot" look, it has pretty much been the same boring hairstyle (boring, imagine 28 years?!) So, I wanted to have curls. But the hairstylists were honest enough to tell me that once I'll have my hair permed, it will regularly need hair treatment to prevent it from becoming too dry and brittle. With so many payables, I could not afford the hair maintenance. Hence, the bangs. I wanted change. So here is the change. Haha.

Natural-born OC

I was cleaning my room when I found my old set of 64 crayons-- still intact, still complete. I had that set when I was in my early elementary years. My husband was amazed that not a single crayon is broken.

And get this: the crayons are arranged according to its "family of colors" (ie all shades of red are in one box, all shades of blue, etc)

I guess I was born an OC. LOL!

P.S. Jerome does not want me to throw or give this away. He wants to save it for our child-- to test if the child will be as OC as me. Haha.

all 64 crayons- complete!
