OUTFIT: Gold

I love gold and all that glitters. From clothes to shoes to bags and even nail polish-- I have it in gold.

No, I have not given birth yet. These were taken almost a year ago. I miss my normal clothes and my heels. Shallow, I know. But I really do miss having to move around without bumping my tummy into something or someone, having to bend down with ease and most especially having to sleep soundly at night-- things that I just take for granted before. Anyway, I have a few more weeks to go!

I've worn this dress so many times already, to two weddings actually. Much as I want to retire it, I can't. I love the soft fabric and the fact that I can wear it to a formal event or I can wear it casually depending on the accessories. So I am thinking of doing a little alteration to the dress. Right now, I have successfully taken out the shoulder pads. I am thinking of sewing beads & sequins on the dress, but I am short of an inspiration for now.

Color Your World

"Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world.
Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak.
Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor,
and your picture begins to lighten up."
- Allen Klein

Got these beauties during the One Cebu Expo held a few months ago.
Would you believe I got all three for less than Php 200?

OUTFIT: Neon Zebra Prints

I miss wearing shorts.
I actually miss wearing most of my clothes.
But I am not complaining.
I won't exchange what I have now with anything in the world.

It's raining hard here in Cebu.
I heard that there are some areas which are flooded already.
Stay safe everyone.

OUTFIT: Pregnant, Purple and Proud

I have not posted any outfit post for months now. I am no fashion blogger, but sometimes I just want to dress up and feel good. That all changed with my pregnancy. My first trimester was not good at all. I was throwing up every day night (my so-called morning sickness happened at night). Things got better during my second trimester, but then my tummy was getting bigger every week. Dressing up every morning took quite longer because I had to try on many clothes and see which one still fits me.

I don't want to buy maternity clothes. What will I do with it after I give birth? So I just bought regular clothes that are stretchable or garterized around the waist. This purple and gray maxi dress is one of those. It's very comfortable and also very versatile. It can pass as a semi-formal wear by accessorizing it with pearls. Or it can be worn casual like what I did here. The accessories sometimes do the trick.

sepa's great anniversary sale

Day 6:

I am a sucker for sales and bazaars. Throw in deal vouchers, too!
When it comes to clothes and accessories, my formula is:
QUALITY < QUANTITY

For shoes and bags, quality prevails because for the life of me,
my shoes don't last long. Scratches can already be
seen on the heel part after the 3rd or 4th use.
(I don't know why. Must be with the way I walk)

Anyway, when I saw on FB that SEPA is having its great anniversary sale,
I made no further delays.

I am so happy with my buys. And I am happier that I got to meet
the designer/owner of SEPA-- Diane. She's very warm and friendly.
Too bad I forgot to take a picture of her shop.
It's accessories heaven there!!!

Thanks Diane.

SEPA is located at:
25 Visitacion St. Osmena Blvd.,
Cebu City

OUTFIT: Babydoll

Day 3 of my 30-day challenge:

My mother would always tell me to dress appropriately for my age (I'm nearing the 30th mark)
and now, for my profession (I'm a liar, este a lawyer, though people find it hard to believe that because
of my petite frame). Well anyway, much as I dress accordingly to courtroom standards, there are days
that I want to dress playfully and add to that, youthfully. Nyahaha.

During the 4-day long weekend, we just stayed at home since our car was admitted to the
car hospital (cute term ey? lol), save for the last day where we decided to avail of our
SM Cinema complimentary tickets. On how we got those? Let's just say our "combined"
legal and arguing skills got into play.

It's raining cats and dogs today here in Cebu.
Otherwise, our jogging plans will be put off
(again) to another day. Bad weather. Haha.

How's the weather in your place?

OUTFIT: Animal Print + Mustard

Lately, I've been attracted to animal prints. I find it sexy and flattering.
Would you believe that the skirt I wore here is more than 10 years old?
I bought it when in Hongkong. Though I never got to appreciate
it until recently. I don't like wearing it before for fear that I will tear the
sheer material away. Good thing I didn't decide to throw it away.
You might wonder why it still fits me after 10 years when there's a considerable
difference with my weight then and now. The secret? It's garterized! Haha.

I love the lace detail!

TGIF! The weekend beckons!
What to do?

Yes, THESE, plural huh.

OUTFIT: Silk & Turquoise

The top I'm wearing was another impulse & accidental buy. Impulse-- I didn't
think twice on buying it because I never had a decent silk top. Accidental-- because
I was supposedly looking for a regatta/sailor-inspired outfit but I wasn't lucky. So I
got this instead. Haha. Justifications, I know! Please forgive me, I'm just a girl.

But the real clincher that sent this top over the cashier counter was the
unbelievable price slash down considering that the top is a Banana Republic
(yep, I got it on SALE!!!!)

To add a splash of color to my neutral office ensemble, I wore this
turquoise, violet & gold bib necklace.

Gotta sleep now. Have to take an hour bus ride early tomorrow
for a hearing in a nearby municipality. Nite-ty!

OUTFIT: Leaping Leopard

Lately, I have been scoring on animal prints. When I saw this leopard print top on the rack, I knew I just had to buy it.

This is what I wore to the Installation of New Officers for Midtown Toastmasters Club. Our theme for this year is "Blue Jeans". To match my red belt, I took out my ever reliable boots, since it was a bit gloomy that day (and true enough, it rained hard by nighttime).

Here's my overall look:

Top: Papaya || Cardigan: bazaar
Jeans: Next || Boots: bought in Macau
Belt: Memo || Bangles: Rubi

Goodnight! :)

I'll wake up to another crazy workweek.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

OUTFIT: Layering

I am a bit wary of experimenting on layering of accessories, for fear of being a fashion faux pas. I always chose to be safe. But since my dress was waaaay too boring, I took the risk. And here it is:

Sepa

I was never fond of wearing earrings because my ears get easily irritated, whether it's genuine or just fashion earrings. But because of my profession (and yes, age), I guess I have to dress up appropriately. And that would necessarily have to include accessories such as earrings. I always don the fresh water pearls that my parents gave me on my birthday. Lately, I tried wearing my other earrings. Last weekend, I had the chance to visit a popular fashion jewelry designer since I was within the vicinity of her shop. And I could not resist buying these two pairs since I got them on a very good price. It is wise to buy in her shop because there are items that are on sale. I'll definitely visit her shop again if I have the time (and extra moolah)!
